She's a Brit Award winner, Grammy nominee and was lead singer with iconic pop group, FIVE STAR. The wonderful Denise Pearson is now performing at Lowde Fest 16.
With an unprecedented chart run of over 20 top thirty UK singles back in the 80's including ‘System Addict’, ‘The Slightest Touch’ and the anthem ‘Rain Or Shine’, FIVE STAR were also the youngest British group to have a number 1 album and the first group to ever achieve 7 consecutive hit singles from one album in the UK.
After a career break to raise her two children, Denise joined the West End cast of the Michael Jackson musical "Thriller Live" and then in 2013 she went on tour with the Jacksons and a 16 date tour of the UK supporting Billy Ocean. Brightlight City are from Epsom Surrey and have a fresh and exciting new sound. While Son of Jack is from Cardiff in Wales, and is just launching his debut album.
If you haven't heard Polar Dive yet you soon will. This incredible new band from London has taken the circuit by storm and is causing a stir in all the right circles. With a unique and distinctive sound you can't help but catch the infectious sound and driving rythms. Their first release HUNGER has been gathering momentum on air and we are delighted to be welcoming them to the introducing stage where they can follow in the footsteps of the likes of Catfish and the Bottlemen - we predict all the way to the BRITS. THE TUESDAY SYNDICATE have been busy since they formed just three years ago. Having learnt their craft in North Devon they've cut through the clutter to play the Isle of White Festival, and at Country 2 Country in the O2 Arena. This band's definitely one to watch.
