DR & THE MEDICS were created in 1982 by the Rev. Dr. Clive Thomas Jackson and in 2016 they celebrated the 30th Anniversary of the song that they are best known for, their massive 1986 No 1 “Spirit in the Sky,” which sold over 23 Million copies worldwide and was number 1 in 19 countries!!
Throughout their career they have also been recognised as a great live act, never more so than with the current line-up that delivers a unique and sensationally flamboyant show packed full of “Medic’d up” 80’s hits along with a few Medic’s originals that are going down a storm with crowds.
2015 saw the band return to the recording studio releasing their acclaimed version of Dead or Alive’s “You Spin Me Round”. The band also had a foray into dance music over the last year with both the 29th Anniversary dance remixes of “Spirit in the Sky” and “Lift Me Up” reaching No. 1 in several American dance charts including the Official USA Dance Chart.
Whilst enjoying success in the dance charts the band is still very much a rock act live and have a new rock album currently being recorded and due for release in 2017.

When we asked Fleet based Rock band "THE 109s" what they were all about the answer came back...
" We are here to put rock riffs back where they belong: loud and high in the mix, clawing and stomping their way through the speaker cones to grab listeners by the throat and pummel them into submission..."
The famous crime novelist Ian Rankin said of the 109s...
"High octane blues rock - very much my thing! I just need to see them do it live sometime"
Well now is the time...back from recording their debut album The 109s are live on stage at Lowde Fest 2017....In fact they are opening the Main stage, so don't miss out on this fantastic band.
